In the Puppet Console (dashboard) Live Management view, every click of the “Reset filter” link will increment the total node count (regardless of if a node discovery is performed or not). The text below initially reads “1 of 1 nodes selected”, then “1 of 2 nodes selected” and so on.
Installed on CentOS 5.5 and viewed with Chrome.

I’ve replicated the problem on Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS viewed with Firefox 9.0.1. I suspect the problem exists on all platforms and browsers. Clicking the “Reset filter” link causes the total node count to increment by the original total node count. For example, in my test setup, the text below the filter originally reads “3 of 3 nodes selected (100.0%)” and there are three nodes in the node list. After clicking “Reset filter”, the text reads “3 of 6 nodes selected (50.0%)” but there are still only three nodes in the node list. Clicking “Reset filter” again results in “3 of 9 nodes selected (33.3%)” but still only three nodes are in the node list.
