There is no documentation for the client option outside of the puppetd man page.

Before deleting the documentation for something that’s supposedly not used we should remove the code. Except after some research, the code that deals with —no-client is used. —no-client allows you to start up an agent that doesn’t run, but if you ‘kick’ it (aka puppetrun). I guess the documentation that this patch deleted even describes that.
