This was accepted, and put into production, with no comment?
Ugh! Personally, I despise the color output, and view the automatic enabling of color, as itself being a bug :(

The irony is strong here. I’m actually color-blind, and also disable color output everywhere because it’s not very useful to me.
We are quite sure that this isn’t how the majority of our users feel though. We’ve had strong signal that more people prefer color on by default.
