Description

Perhaps a simple manifest/site.pp that includes a trivial base module. Then a couple non-included modules to manage trivial resources.

For Puppet? I’m not sure this is desired by our user base, but I could be wrong.

Even as a newbie I would find it irritating if something was just dumped on me. I would be delighted if help told me that there was a command to install a small example though, or even to be given the opportunity to list and select among several examples…

… and it would be very good if it was possible to publish examples on the forge.

I think Henrik’s idea is sane as well. My goal is to give a new user an easy bootstrap process. Perhaps a site.pp with a commented line or two, giving commands to install examples from the Forge?

This, of course, requires jumping through hoops to get PMT installed (#6493).
