Description

There are numerous performance and security fixes that have been released in Rails 2.3.x from our current version of 2.3.5. Upgrading the vendored version of rails should also include upgrading other vendored gems as necessary to avoid deprecation warnings.

This upgrade assumes that Dashboard will only support Ruby 1.8.7 from here until we upgrade to Rails 3 since many of the plugins and other dependencies of 2.3.12 don’t play nicely with older versions of Ruby. I’ve discussed this internally on the tech list, and Nigel and others are fine with dropping support for older versions of Ruby.
