Description

Cfengine supports the ability to specify files or directories to ignore during auditing and syncing. We need to support the same functionality, although we should not support cfengine’s ignore/exclude dichotomy.

It might make sense to have a global ‘ignore’ mechanism, so that each file action doesn’t need to specify the important ignore sets.
