A complement to #10761.

Currently, the events tab in the Reports view lists out resource type strings by status (Changed, Failed, Unchanged, etc). The resource types are dynamically generated by the user (Cron, User, Exec, etc). Those resource type strings are sorted by alphabetical order – which helps organization somewhat. However, alphabetization by itself does not help the user when they’re looking for resource type ‘Users’ amongst a list of 150 resource type ‘Execs’. (for example)

Rather, adding a dynamic filter by resource type feature could solve this problem of information overload. The resource type string typically looks like this ‘File[/rehybridize/inlake/procurer/marmorated/cogredient]’ – dynamically generating the resource type could be accomplished by getting the first couple of characters until the ‘[’.

Attached is a screenshot of the current list view and a wireframe proposal for the feature.
