We can go one step further and suggest in this document that users express their dependencies semantically. Per Pieter, support for this has been in the PMT since Geordi v1 but has just gone undocumented.
He mentioned https://github.com/isaacs/node-semver as a resource for examples. Nick, please poke me about testing some of the examples and drafting documentation for it.
